Tutorial steps

Step 1
Weaving grid Miyuki Cuff in Odd Peyote : Step 1

Cut 1.7 m of thread, thread it onto the weaving needle and then attach a holding bead. Place it 20 cm from the end of the thread. Pass through the bead twice to form two loops around the bead. Thread the beads from the first 2 rows of the weave in a row. Reminder: A row corresponds to the beads aligned horizontally on the diagram. You must string 1 gold, 2 orange, 3 turquoise, 1 red, 2 gold, 1 orange, 2 gold, 1 red, 3 turquoise, 2 orange, 1 gold.

Step 2
Weaving grid Miyuki Cuff in Odd Peyote : Step 2

Thread a gold bead and pass through the Mandarin Luster bead. Continue weaving to the end of the row. Finish with a gold bead.

Step 3
Weaving grid Miyuki Cuff in Odd Peyote : Step 3

Pass through the first gold bead strung in step 1. Pay attention to the direction of the bead. String a Topaz Claret bead and pass through the Madarin Luster bead. Complete the row: string 1 mandarin luster, pass through the turquoise, string 1 red and pass through the gold and so on.

Step 4
Weaving grid Miyuki Cuff in Odd Peyote : Step 4

Return to the gold bead below and weave all the way to the end gold bead.

Step 5
Weaving grid Miyuki Cuff in Odd Peyote : Step 5

Continue weaving the next row.

Step 6
Weaving grid Miyuki Cuff in Odd Peyote : Step 6

To fix this last golden bead and start the new row, several methods exist. We will use the fastest method. Pass the thread with the needle under the thread connecting the two previous golden beads. Place the last golden bead by tightening the thread very slightly. Return to the golden bead from the outside of the weave. Your thread is now well positioned to weave the next row. This method should be done every other row from now on. Continue weaving.

Step 7
Weaving grid Miyuki Cuff in Odd Peyote : Step 7

Change the thread as soon as it starts to get damaged and/or as soon as it is less than 10 cm long. To change the thread, you will need to go back through the beads in the weave so that the thread gets caught. Go through the beads next to the bead your thread is coming from and through the beads diagonally to it so that you can't see the thread above the beads. Pull on the last bead you threaded to make sure the first thread is stuck. Cut the thread flush. Take a new thread and wedge it in the same way. Keep the end of the wire in your hand to prevent it from coming off when you pull.

Step 8
Weaving grid Miyuki Cuff in Odd Peyote : Step 8

To make a point on a bracelet in Peyote weaving: At the time of the decrease, fix the last golden bead of the row by passing the needle behind the thread connecting the orange and golden bead. Then return to the last gold one. Do this at the end of each row, keeping an eye on the pattern to know where to stop.

Step 9
Weaving grid Miyuki Cuff in Odd Peyote : Step 9

Keep at least 15 cm of thread at the end so you can attach a closed ring. Come out of the bead at the end of the bracelet, pass the needle through the ring and back through the bead from the opposite side. Do this 3 times and then catch the thread in the weave and cut it.

Step 10

Once you have finished weaving one side of the bracelet, cut a new piece of yarn, tuck it into the weave and weave the other side starting from the middle of the pattern.

Connect the closed rings to the magnet clasp with open rings. Add rings if the bracelet is too small.

Bonjour,
