For those of you reading this tutorial for the first time, it was obviously our April fool's joke!
If you're a dog lover and want to give your faithful companion the very best, what could be better than an original collar to make your pooch shine and give him a touch of elegance? This "who's got dog" tutorial will help you create a unique, personalized collar for your little protégé. Even if you're not a jewelry-making expert, this tutorial is designed to be easy to follow and make. I'm a beginner myself, and I managed to complete this project! However, it's important to note that this collar is only suitable for dogs with a neck circumference of around 40 cm. If your dog is a bouvier or a larger breed, a more suitable model will be required.
The collar you create for your faithful companion is made up of two essential elements: leather cord and crystals. The combination of these two materials offers an elegant and original result that's sure to catch the eye and make your faithful companion the star of any walk. It's important to know that this collar is not designed to be used to attach a leash. It's an accessory that will enhance your pet's appearance.
This dog collar is adorned with heart-shaped crystals. The crystals used for this jewel come from two different brands: Aurora for the large heart-shaped crystal, and PureCrystal for the small hearts. We selected these brands for their exceptional quality and brilliance, ensuring that the necklace will remain sparkling over time. We offer a variety of colors for these crystals, so you can personalize the collar to match your four-legged friend's coat.
Please note that the crystals used in this tutorial are made of glass. Keep an eye on your pooch!

Here are the materials you will need to make this necklace. You will also need a pair of wire cutters and a pair of round-tipped pliers.

Using the rings, attach the heart crystals to the pushers. For this step, you can use our sheet: How to open a ring?

Slide the pushers onto the cord.

Unscrew one of the rivets, and screw it back on the end of the cord (on the side where there are only 2 holes).

Remove the ring from the second rivet, unscrew it and attach it to the hole furthest from the other end of the cord.

Fold back the bead, and pass the ball of the rivet through the third hole. This step will require a little elbow grease. Then you can put the rivet ring back on, which will secure the attachment.

Pass the nail through the holes in the heart crystal.

For this step, we will make a loop. You can use our video: How to make a loop?
You need to bend the nail at 90° with a flat nose pliers.
Make sure that the loop already on the nail is well stuck to the hole before you bend the nail.

Cut the nail, and create the loop with round pliers.

Using a ring, attach the clasp to the loop.
Repeat this step on the other side.

Attach the clasps to the rivet rings, and your necklace is complete!
