Today we have a simple idea to customize this braided hair clip. You will need 0.4mm gold or silver copper wire and beads. We chose 3mm pearl beads and PureCrystal bicones. You can also add shells for a more summery version or mother of pearl flowers.

Create your own original hair clips to match outfits that look like you.
Cut 40 cm of copper wire. Pass it over the last groove of the clip and join the two wire ends at the back. Use pliers to twist the two wires together until both ends of the wire are pressed against the back of the clip. Cut the small piece of wire and be careful not to cut the longer piece of wire. Run the long piece of wire to the next groove.
Thread 1 pearly bead, 1 spinning top, 1 pearly bead and follow the groove by stretching the thread. Another variation: put many more pearly beads without spinners or vice versa. Pass the thread under the bar and pass it on the next groove. Always tighten the thread. On this model, we added pearls every other groove.
When you reach the end of the barrette, wrap the wire around the metal part of the barrette several times. You can add more glue at the beginning and at the end.
