Flower ear rings can be made in many different ways. In today's little creative idea, we are going to use cone beads that represent Arum or Calla flowers. These cones have a hole in the top, which allows you to slip a stud through them so you can attach the flowers to a chain.
This is a tutorial that won't take you more than 10 minutes to make pretty gold and black long earrings. These earrings have a classy and vintage feel. They will be particularly suitable with a black dress or evening suit. They can also be worn with a dark floral blouse.
Although these earrings seem voluminous, they are nevertheless light. They also have the advantage of being very affordable if you buy the material to make several curls. For example, if you want to make 2 pairs of dangling fancy earrings, you will only need to buy 6 extra Arum flowers because all the rest of the material allows you to make several earrings. So you divide the price of the pair almost by 2. For 3 pairs, add a pair of ear hooks, and this will divide the price even more. Finally, 3 pairs will cost you a little more than 5 euros per pair and you will have some chain left for a necklace or a bracelet.
Cut 2 pieces of 4 cm chain. Open the rings of the ear hooks by rotating the end with two jewelry pliers. Slide a chain through each hook ring and close the rings, making sure that the rings are stuck to the stem and that there are no gaps where the chain could slip through.
Using the same method as step 1, open 6 rings of round head nails. On each ring, add a drop charm and close the rings. Thread the nail shanks through the holes in the flower cones.
Attach the first flower to the end of the chain. To do this, you will need to form a loop on the nail. Place the ring with the charm against the hole and bend the nail shank at 90 degrees to the base of the hole at the top of the flower. Cut the shank back 8 mm from the corner.
Grab the end of the shank with the tip of the round-tipped pliers. Turn the pliers in the opposite direction of the angle so that the end of the nail is in a loop. If you are not familiar with this method, go to this data sheet: How to form a loop on a jewelry nail.
Before closing the ring completely, slide the end of the chain inside. The two other flowers will be fixed in the center of the chain and 4 links below the ear hook. You may have to force it a little because the links are tight.
