Multi-row bracelet with interchangeable clasp Hiilos by Little Miss

How to make a multi-row bracelet with a Hiilos clasp?

In this tutorial made by Little Miss for the spring challenge with Hiilos clasps, learn how to make a multi-row bracelet in spring colors. The soft and iridescent colors are perfect to welcome the beautiful days. This bracelet is composed of a 22 mm Hiilos clasp and two links of 11 mm each. Each link contains between 2 and 5 creations.

If you haven't heard of them yet, Hiilos interchangeable clasps are great! They allow you to change the links that make up your bracelet in no time. Based on the same clasp, it is possible to mix and match links with other designs. A multitude of choices are available to you! Don't hesitate to consult the other Hiilos clasp bracelet tutorials available on the site to get inspired.

To participate in the spring challenge, share your creation by following one of the two themes: spring color palette or floral design on social networks by identifying @perlesandco @little_mlle and @hiilos_fermoirs. Don't forget to use the #springchallengebyperlesandco. It's your turn to play!

Tutorial steps

Step 1

First of all, it is important to calculate the size you need for your bracelet.

To do this, measure your wrist (just below the malleolus).

You will simply take this measurement for the realization.

The clasp adds a little more than 1 cm of ease. If you like to wear your bracelets a little loose, you can add 0.5 cm to your starting measurement.

Example: If your wrist is 6 inches long and you don't like to wear your bracelets too tight, you will need to make the links 6 inches long. Your bracelet will then measure 16.5 cm with the clasp.

Step 2

  • Miyukis weaving link (A)

Weave the pattern following the diagram above with the odd peyote method. You can find the technique on the website of Perles & Co :How to do an odd peyote weaving

A : DB-1490

B : DB-1502

C : DB-1832

D : DB-2129

E : DB-2178

It corresponds to a size 16.5 cm. It is possible to shorten it by removing rows or to enlarge it by adding rows of gold beads.

At the end of the weaving, double the last row (preferably use gold beads which are stronger for this kind of use). This will be used to attach the clasp.

Step 3
  • Link with curb chain and bar (B)

Cut the chain to the length of your weave with a pair of cutters.

Step 4
  • Chain link with chain (C)

Cut the chain to the length of your weave with a cutter (take an extra two links of margin).

Step 5

  • Link with chain stitch and amazonite beads (D)

Mount 5 beads on wire.

To do this, start by placing a bead to be crushed on the wire and then form a loop with the chain trapped in the wire by passing the wire again in the bead.

Crush your bead with a flat clip.

Then thread your 5 beads and repeat the process on the other side, this time adding the stainless steel sunburst charm.

Cut the two pieces of chain on each side of the beads so that your link is the same size as the previous ones (take two extra links).

Step 6

  • Liberty cord link (E)

Cut your cord to the length of your other links, taking about 10 cm of extra room.

Thread three crush beads to serve as pass-through beads.

Form a tight knot on each side of your cord. The length of the knot will correspond to the size of your previous ties.

Step 7

  • Silk thread link and triangle spacers (F)

Cut your thread to the length of your other links, taking about 10 cm of extra margin.

Thread your triangle spacers (about 20 here).

Make a tight knot on each side of your yarn. The knot to knot length will correspond to the size of your previous ties.

Step 8

  • Silk thread link and triangular spacers centered (G)

Cut your thread to the length of your other links, taking about 10 cm of extra margin.

Thread your triangle spacers (about 20 here).

To center them, make two knots centered on your thread so that your spacers stay in the middle of your strand.

Then make a tight knot on each side of your yarn. The knot to knot length will correspond to the size of your previous ties.

Step 9
  • Assembly of the end caps

For link #1 (which includes A,B):

Put the last row of the miyuki weave through the end cap. If you encounter a little resistance, don't hesitate to spread the ends a little. Don't force it or you might break a bead.

Thread a bar of the curb chain into the end cap. Do not hesitate to break the bar halfway to gain space in the end piece.

Tighten the end caps as needed and close them with a flat clip.

For link #2 (which includes C, D, E, F, G)

Pass the knots of the different links and the last two links of the chain through the end cap.

Close the end caps.

Thread the end caps into your clasp, and your multi-row bracelet is complete!

A bientôt, Elodie
