How to make creoles with beads?

Making creoles with beads is very simple. On our site we offer creoles in many different sizes and finishes. You will find wire hoop earrings in silver, gold, 925 silver, stainless steel, and gold filled. In this tutorial, we have chosen silver plated brass earrings but discover other finishes to make these earrings, at the bottom of the page in the variation section.

When you choose your earrings and beads, you must pay attention to the size of the hole of the beads. You have to be sure that the beads will fit on the wire so if possible choose beads with a hole bigger than the size of the wire.

The creole model presented in this tutorial is made of black onyx beads, blue ceramic heishi and polymer clay heishi. The rest of the components are silver beads of different shapes and sizes. Choose the ones you like best from the list of materials. This tutorial is also a goodidea to reuse leftover beads from old jewelry projects.

Also consider sharing components to make several pieces of jewelry or offer a workshop with a friend. For example, to make a second pair of earrings, you will only have to buy 1 pair of hoop earrings, 1 bag of boulier beads, 1 bag of silver heishis rings 4x1 mm and 1 bag of silver flowers spacers. The two pairs will cost you about 14 euros each instead of 21 euros if you buy the material for one pair. It's worth it to push your friends to create jewelry! In addition, you can lend your jewelry clips to each other.

Tutorial steps

Step 1
Silver creoles with heishis and Onyx beads : Step 1

Flatten the opening of the creole: The wire forms an angle at the end of the creole. You need to flatten it to be able to pass some of the beads because the angle will prevent you from passing them. To do this, take a pair of flat pliers and grab the small piece of wire just after the angle. Bend it in the opposite direction of the angle to make the angle disappear. Finish by flattening the wire on several sides to make the corner disappear completely. Do not force it, you do not want to damage the galvanization of the wire.

Step 2
Silver creoles with heishis and Onyx beads : Step 2

Thread 1 stopper bead that will prevent the beads from sliding off the creole. Put it on the other side. Then thread the following beads without forcing to not deform the creole. 1 flower spacer, 1 4x1 mm washer, 1 flower spacer, 1 ceramic heishi, 1 flower spacer, 1 ceramic heishi, 1 flower spacer, 5 Onyx faceted washers and do the same on the other side. Finish by reforming the creole stem as it was before. Grab the spot where the angle was with the flat tongs and reshape it.
