DIY Boho jewelry with colorful seed beads and heishi gemstone beads

This necklace measures 135cm. You need to use almost all of your silk thread depending on the length you choose. Unwind it completely from its box. This thread is very practical because it is very resistant and its integrated needle allows you to thread all kinds of beads easily.

This necklace does not require a clasp because its ends will be positioned or tied on the chest. To do this, you need to create a stop thanks to a bead (here a pompom) and a bead to crush. To do this, insert a crush bead on your needle and bring it to the end of your thread (leaving a margin of a few centimeters only). Insert your pom-pom in the same way, passing through the center of the pom-pom and again through the squeeze bead. You have created a closed loop around the pom-pom.

Using flat nose pliers (or bent nose pliers see photo) crush your bead so that it freezes the two wires that run through it. Then place a pearl cover to crush still using your pliers. As its name indicates, it is a pearl that is placed on top of it to hide it for a nicer finish.

The ends of your necklace are secured. You can start your bead chain by starting with an ethnic bead just above the crush bead cover and the tassel. Its diameter will contrast with the rest of the bead chain. To determine your string of beads you can use a beading and assembly tray. Thanks to it, you have in front of you all the references to insert in your creation and you can model the final result before actually threading your beads on the wire.

You are free to modify this sequence or to create a completely new one. In case you want to make the necklace the same way, here is an overview of the bead sequence made with :
- heishi gemstone beads
- natural colored tagua seed beads
- Miyuki seed beads 8/0
- worked spacer beads

For your information, the part made of golden seed beads only (between the last white tagua bead and the orange and fuchsia seed beads) is the part around the neck. You can adapt the length of this part according to your neck size or the final length of the necklace desired.

The sequence of pearls is symmetrical. The gemstone part marks the center of the necklace. Once you have reached this point in the bead chain, simply duplicate the part you have already made.
To place the rectangle divider, use your jewelry pliers to open round rings and insert them into the divider. Attach them around the wire on each side of the orange tagua bead. Finally, still using your pliers and rings, thread two colored seed beads through the rings before attaching them to the remaining rings of the rectangle divider.

To complete your creation, repeat step 2 to secure the thread inside your pom-pom and crush beads and pull up inside some beads. Cut off the excess thread while keeping your needle at the end (it can be used for another creation).

Your creation is finished. You can wear this piece of jewelry in many ways according to your desires. And to use the remaining beads, you can create an assortment of small thin bracelets with the different beads used in the necklace.Thread them in the order of your choice and choose either a version with elastic thread by closing with a surgeon's knot or with macramé thread by making a macramé slip knot.
