Are you a fan of succulents and cacti? If so, you're going to love this tutorial, which will enable you to create a light, graphic hanging for your favorite plants!
Using himmeli-style brass tubes, this easy DIY is guaranteed to be stain-free, allowing you to create a Scandinavian-style decoration. Himmeli is originally a Christmas decoration from the Far North, but it's been making its way into home decor for some time now.
They are sometimes complex pyramid-shaped mobiles made from straws and tubes suspended from the ceiling. The tubes are cut and joined together with a wire.
In this tutorial, we suggest you create a suspension for your plants, but these brass tubes can also form an original jewelry-holder. It's up to you to imagine what you'd like!
STEP 1
Take 6 tubes, set aside 3 and cut the others into 10 cm segments, giving you 9.

STEP 2
Take your circular cutter to cut your brass segments. First mark your cutting measurements with a felt-tip pen, then place your bar in the hollow provided for the tube. Screw in your knob, but not all the way, so that you can rotate the cutter around the tube, tightening it little by little until the tube cuts.

STEP 3
Cut 3 lengths of wire about 2 meters long. Pass one of the wires through 3 tubes to form our triangular base.

STEP 4
Pass one of the 2 wires back through the next tube to close the triangle.

STEP 5
Pass the remaining 2 wires through the 2 tubes of the triangle, using one wire per tube. There should be 2 wires coming out of each end of the triangle.

STEP 6
Tie a knot with the 2 outgoing wires.

STEP 7
Pass a tube through each wire.

STEP 8
Tie the wires together.

STEP 9
Thread the 3 uncut tubes through each wire. Tie a knot to secure.

STEP 10
Customize your flowerpot with chalk-effect paint. Once dry, you can transfer skin tattoos that will also work well on the painted pot.
