Find out how to create a surfer-style choker for men with heishis mother-of-pearl beads accented with gemstone beads.
The heishis beads are thin washers pierced in the middle, they exist in different materials such as polymer clay, gold metal, silver, mother-of-pearl, gemstones and ceramic. Their sizes vary, they can be very thin like having a few millimeters thick.
These pearls are ideal to create a masculine necklace close to the neck especially since they are top trend for one year. The perfect masculine combos is to add to the mother-of-pearl pearls some stones in the center of the necklace with green tiger's eye, which gives them an original look between the color of malachite and the natural tiger's eye reflections.
Cut 60 cm of cabled wire, thread a tiger's eye bead, border it with two silver heishis, continue by threading a mother-of-pearl then another silver washer, another stone and a metallic one, all this on each side of the bead stone.
Continue to thread the beads symmetrically from the center, add 4 pearls, one metallic, one mother-of-pearl, another metallic. After these you have to thread only mother-of-pearl heishis about half the length of one side.
Use a silver pearl, a mother-of-pearl and a metallic one, thread all the remaining mother-of-pearl on the thread. Pass on each side of a double ring crushing bead and then pass back through the wire into the crushing bead. Pull on the cable to adjust the length, cut the wire leaving 2 or 3 mm, put a drop of glue on the wire and insert it into the last pearls, fix by crushing the pearl to be crushed with pliers. Hide these pearls with pearl covers of the same colour, finish by passing your clasp carabiner in the double ring on one of the sides.
