How to make earrings yourself?
Today we're not presenting 1 or 2 tutorials, but 4 different pairs of earrings to be made with 7 primers, pendants and charms. The great thing about assembling jewelry is that with just a few elements you can create lots of jewelry variations. Tired of one element? Remove it from your earrings and replace it. It's so quick and easy, why deprive yourself?
If the open rings are too marked by the pliers, replace them or use tool dip or silicone tips on your pliers to reduce the marks.
To make this type of jewelry, you'll need just two round pliers, or one flat and one round. So you don't need much equipment to start making handmade jewelry. For future projects, you'll also need to invest in a pair of cutting pliers. These 3 pliers are the basic tools needed to assemble jewelry.
The only technique you'll need to know in this tutorial is how to open and close open rings. These are rings cut at one point and used to connect two elements. The mistake that beginners make is to spread the two ends of the ring apart, except that this deforms the ring, making it oval, and it is then very difficult to restore it to a well-rounded shape. The best way to do this is to rotate the two ends from one side to the other, slide the elements inside, then close again by rotating in the other direction and making 1 or 2 slight twists so that the two ends are face to face and touching.
Store your jewelry-making accessories in boxes with compartments. You can reuse them later for another project. Stained glass imitation drops and epoxy resin earstuds are available in other colors. Click on the links to go to the product category.
We've listed the costume jewelry elements used under each photo. Find them in the materials list at the bottom of the page, and add them to your basket directly from the list.
