How to make a multi-turn wrap bracelet?
If you've never tried making a bracelet wrap before, now is the time! Follow our diagrams and the written directions in this tutorial to make a 5 turn wrap bracelet. The wrap bracelet technique is very easy to learn and allows you to make bracelets with beads of different shapes and sizes without using a beading loom. You will need 2 thick wires on each side of the bracelet to attach beads between. While the technique may be scary at first, it is actually a very simple and repetitive method so it is ideal for beginners. The principle is to wrap the wire that holds the bead(s) around the cords to hold the bead between the two cords. This technique can also be used on rigid bracelets as is the case in this tutorial: Bracelet Wrap Pearls PureCrystal. There are also bracelets with places specially created for beads as in this tutorial bracelet: Bracelet Miyuki woven rush delicas and golden sequins.
In this bracelet we used faceted bohemian beads, mini hematite beads, lapis lazuli pierced gemstones and Star Beads created in-house at Perles and Co. Don't forget to check out our other bead colors to create a wrap bracelet that suits you!
The 4mm hematite beads have been replaced in the material list by silver faceted beads.

Thread the button onto the cord and place it in the center. Tie a knot at the base of the button by knotting the two ends of the cords together.

Cut 1.5 yards of weaving thread and thread it onto a needle. Tie the thread to the cord, thread 1 faceted bead 4mm, go around the top cord and back into the bead.

Go under the bottom cord, thread a bead and place it between the two cords and repeat step 2.

Continue to weave the 50 faceted beads and then move on to the 2nd part of the wrap. For this part, string 3 Miyuki beads in each pass according to the grid below. Between each string of Miyuki Delicas, string 1 round silver faceted bead. Continue weaving for 16 to 18 cm.

The 3rd part of the wrap is composed of Star Beads. Start with 2 silver beads 2 mm then fix 1 Star Bead with the same technique as before but in 2 times: 2 beads 2 mm, 1 facet 4 mm, 2 beads 2 mm and so on until you fix 9 to 10 Star Beads. Continue weaving with the other beads and adjust the bracelet to your wrist size.

The 4th round is composed of 5 beads Lapis Lazuli, 1 facet 4 mm, 2 beads 2 mm and 1 facet 4 mm. The 5th of 5 facets 4 mm and 1 round silver 4 mm.

The 5th of 5 facets 4 mm and 1 round silver 4 mm.

Once the bracelet is long enough, make a knot following the patterns to form a loop in which you will catch the button.

Tighten, cut and glue.
