How to make an elastic ring
Re-discover our multi-strand elastic pearl ring, now available in two new versions: a white and gold version, and a black and silver version. These chic, easy-to-create rings are perfect for accessorizing your everyday outfits or for special occasions. They don't require complex tools to make - a simple pair of scissors and glue are all you need. This DIY tutorial is therefore an ideal project for getting started in personalized jewelry making.
These rings are also ideal for layering. Wear several rings on different fingers for a trendy, bohemian effect, or combine them with other pearl jewelry for a harmonious look. They also suit more casual styles: wear a single ring for a minimalist yet elegant effect with jeans and a t-shirt, or combine it with bracelets and necklaces for a more elaborate look.
Originally, this DIY ring was made with white PureCrystal pearls and four silver 3-strand spacers adorned with rhinestones. To save money, we've reduced the number of spacers, making this ring even more affordable. Although we've kept PureCrystal pearls in our list of materials, you're free to choose other types of pearly pearls, such as Preciosa or Aurora pearls. Explore other bead options in our "Material Variations" section, but make sure the bead hole diameter fits the 0.5 mm elastic thread. A 0.8 mm hole is ideal for easy handling.
Using the remaining beads dedicated to the creation of the two 3-strand rings, we also made two other simple elastic rings. The number of remaining beads may vary according to the size of your fingers. For larger fingers, you may need more beads. In this case, adjust the quantities for the single rings or consider buying extra bags of beads.
