How to create a pearl pacifier clip?
The pacifier clip is a must for both parents and baby. Indeed it prevents the lollipop falls to the ground and it gets dirty.
The little plus of our pacifier clip is the silicone beads that baby can suck and chew to massage his gums when pushing his teeth.
In this tutorial, we explain how to create a custom pacifier clip.
Step 1:
Cut a length of about 80 cm from each of your braided cords.
Fold them to have 4 lengths, the middle two (one of each color), will make the length of your pacifier clip and serve as weft.
Step 2 :
Loop the metal part of the pacifier clip
Attach your pacifier clip to a fixed mount so you can start your macrame weave.
Distinguish a left chord and a straight chord, the other two leave them well aligned in the middle.

Step 3 :
Beginning of weaving:
Take the right rope and pass it over the middle ropes.
Take the left rope and position it over the right rope
Then go below the two middle strings and then pull up on the right string.
Tighten the knot holding the two center strings tight.
Repeat once.

No worries, here is a technical sheet on how to learn how to make a macrame knot .
Step 4 :
Using a needle, thread your silicone bead on the two middle cords.
Make it go up to your first two macramé nodes, and shoot well on the two middle strings to adjust your knots.
Pass the two strings at the ends, on the side of your pearl and start again with two macrame knots.
Reproduce this step 5 times.
Step 5 :
Security node for your pacifier clip
At the end of the last two macrame knots (after your pearl # 6) using a needle, pass your left string in one of the two middle strings, as shown in the picture below,
Make a knot, just after, with these two strings.

Repeat this step with the right string.
Cut both ends of the two middle cords, and burn the frayed wires.
Thread the wooden bead, wedge there on your two knots.
Step 6 :
To attach the lollipop, make a loop about 5 cm in diameter max and made a simple knot, as the photo below using the 2 cords.
Close your pacifier clip by making a second simple knot, block it against your wooden bead.
Cut the excess rope, keeping a margin of about 1 cm, burn the rest and put the surplus in the wooden bead.

Bravo your pacifier clip is over.
Important information:
Here are some safety reminders about pacifier clips for your kids:
Attention, if you want to assemble pacifier clips and sell them under your brand, the manufacturing must be done with great care and in compliance with all legal and regulatory standards.
The products we sell in our DIY baby category comply with the European safety standard EN71.
However, this does not relieve you of the obligation to carry out in the specialized laboratory tests of strength, mandatory for the resale of pacifier clips (standard NF EN 12586 + A1 March 2011).
