Textile fibers fall into three main categories: natural, man-made and synthetic. Natural fibers, such as cotton and wool, offer comfort and breathability, while man-made fibers, such as viscose, are distinguished by their shine and softness. Synthetic fibers, such as polyester, are appreciated for their strength and easy care, but lack breathability.
The different types of textile fibers
It is difficult when you start to know all the characteristics of a fabric, there are so many fibers, so many frames that you get lost easily.
Here are some indications on the different textile fibers used to make the fabric.
Each has its advantages and disadvantages.
Note that a lot of fabric is composed of fiber blends and that is what will make the quality of your fabric.
For example to make a strong and shiny fabric will tend to mix cotton and viscose.
