Jesmonite is easy and eco-friendly! It's a water-based, solvent-free resin made from mineral powder and an acrylic binder. It's easy to use, dries quickly and produces strong, durable parts (a great alternative to conventional resin).
How to use Jesmonite
1 - Mix the components, preferably with an electric mixer. The ratio is 1 volume of liquid to 2.5 volumes of powder.
2 - Add any colorant(s) you wish.
3 - Mold in the silicone mold of your choice
4 - Remove air bubbles
5 - Leave to air dry (between 20 and 30 minutes).
6 - Unmold
The final result can be sanded, waterproofed with pore-filler varnish (compatible with food contact) and varnished with satin varnish (water- and oil-repellent) for a glossy finish.
