Gold-filled technique consists of a base metal such as brass or copper, to which a sheet of gold is bonded by pressure or other means.
To qualify as gold filled, an article of jewelry must have a layer of gold at least 1/20th, or 5% of the weight of the entire article.

Hello again, regarding my last question, is there a ready-to-use really hard wire that you can recommend? So I can make my own stiff ear hooks like the ones you sell? Or maybe give advice on how to make them? Apologies for the many questions!

Hello, if I use this wire for creoles, jump rings and ear hooks, are they going to be sturdy enough or are they going to be easily bent during everyday wear? Thanks

Hello, I think it'll be fine for small hoop earrings but I'm not sure for ear hooks. I think it'll bend a little too easily compared to already-made ones. It's ok for jump rings.

L'or apposé sur le gold filled ne se mesure pas en micron mais en poids.
Le poids d'alliage d'or correspond à 1/20 du poids total du produit.

bonjour peut on réaliser des creoles avec ce fil en 3 cm de diamètre ne seront elles pas trop souples ou trop difficiles à former

Bonjour, oui vous pouvez utiliser ce fil pour la création de vos créoles, elles ne seront pas plus souples que nos créoles en gold filled. Je vous conseille d'utiliser le GLD-521 en 0.76 mm ou le GLD-040 en 0.80 mm.
