This 2-in-1 embroidery drum has a 14.5 cm frame on one side and a 22 cm frame on the other. It has been specially designed for the punch needle, but you can also use it for your embroidery work.
The advantage of this embroidery hoop? The two hoops sit on top of each other and act as a base, allowing you to set it up on a table.
So you can work in a comfortable, hands-free position.
Ideal for punch needle work.
How do I make a punch needle?
To make punch needle embroidery, you first need a few tools: a magic needle, a needle threader, embroidery thread, an embroidery drum and fabric.
Attach your embroidery fabric to the drum. Hold your punching needle like a pen and prick your canvas until the handle makes contact with the canvas, then gently withdraw.
Cross the embroidery fabric with the needle, notch facing the direction you wish to go. Gently pull the thread upwards, remaining flush with the fabric so as not to unravel the loop formed on the reverse side.
Move your magic needle without lifting it, and push it in again to form the second stitch. Repeat as many times as necessary.
It's up to you to play with the volumes: if you embroider with your fabric inside out, you'll get curls on the right side, and if you want to create flat stitches, simply work on the right side only.
Accessible to all, there's only one punch needle stitch. You'll be able to embroider cushions, frames, pouches and much more.
For beginners, we've got you covered. We offer an introduction to this embroidery technique. Now it's your turn to create!
