What isFimo clay? It's a polymer clay that hardens when baked. Fimo is the best-known brand, but there are others. Check out our polymer clay jewelry and decorative object tutorials!
Fimo Professionnal clay has a firm, soft consistency. Optimized colors are designed with pure pigments. The different Fimo Professionals can be mixed with each other, but it is also possible to mix them with different types of paste such as Fimo Soft, Fimo effect or Fimo leather effect.
Of all the Fimo range, Professional is the most resistant after firing. Its stable formula prevents your creations from breaking. It's the perfect Fimo paste for making ducks, pendants, figurines or buttons.
Instructions for using and baking Fimo paste:
1) work on a tiled plate or silicone mat.
2) arrange your creations to be baked on this plate.
3) when the oven is at 120°, put your creations in the oven for 30 minutes.
4) remove your creations from the baking tray and leave to cool.
5) leave the oven door and window open to ventilate.
Use our modeling tools to give shape to your creations. Our cookie cutters and texture plates will enable you to make unique and original creations.
After drying, you can sand, scrape, paint, sculpt or varnish your projects.
