What is Fimo clay? It’s a polymer clay that hardens when baked. Fimo is the best-known brand, but there are others as well. Check out all our tutorials for decorative items and jewelry made from polymer clay!
Fimo Professional clay has a firm yet soft consistency. The optimized colors aremade with pure pigments. The different Fimo Professional colors can be mixed together, but you can also blend them with other types of clay, such as Fimo Soft, Fimo Effect, or Fimo Leather Effect.
Of the entire Fimo range, Fimo Professional is the most durable after baking. Its stable formula prevents your creations from breaking. It’s the perfect Fimo clay for making canes, pendants, figurines, or buttons.
Instructions for use and baking Fimo clay:
1) Work on a tile or a silicone mat.
2) Place your creations on this surface to bake.
3) When the oven reaches 110°, bake your creations for 30 minutes.
4) Remove your creations from the baking sheet and let them cool.
5) Leave the oven door and window open to let the heat escape.
Use our modeling tools to shape your creations. Our cookie cutters and textured mats will help you create unique and original pieces.
Once dry, you can sand, scrape, paint, sculpt, or even varnish your projects.
