What is Gold Filled?
Gold Filled is the mechanical treatment of a metal (often brass) with a layer of gold alloy of varying titration. The weight of gold alloy corresponds to 1/20 of the total weight of the product.
For the more inquisitive, we'll explain the differences between gold filled and gold plated, so you can choose the material that's right for you.
If you want to slow down the oxidation process even further, you should handle these components with gloves and avoid contact with perfumes, skin oils and lotions. You should also store them in a dry, temperate place.
