This 10-micron silver-plated, tarnish-resistant copper wire is perfect for creating durable and elegant wire-wrapped jewelry. Flexible and strong, it can be easily shaped to create rings, pendants, and bracelets that retain their luster over time.
This wire has a uniform round cross-section and is highly malleable: it can be bent and shaped by hand or with standard pliers, while retaining enough strength to provide structure to a piece. Its 1.6 mm diameter makes it a thick wire, ideal for elements that require rigidity, such as rings or frames.
What can you do with this copper wire?
This wire is suitable for many wire-wrapping projects. Its thickness allows you to form wire rings directly on a mandrel, as shown in this twisted ring tutorial, or to create frames and supports for wrapping a thinner wire around. It can also be used to make bangle bracelets decorated with beads, as shown in this bangle bracelet tutorial, or pendants with cabochon settings.
Whether you’re just starting out with wirework or already have some experience, technical guides and tutorials are available to help you progress. They include advice on choosing the right tools, techniques for working with wire without leaving marks, and how to create clean, secure joints in a piece.
