Create longer pendants and multi-bead assemblies with this 50 x 0.6 mm wide flat-head pin made of gold-plated 304 stainless steel.
Its 50-mm length provides more space to string multiple beads, create a sequence of shapes, or make a longer pendant. The 0.6-mm shank is still thin enough to accommodate beads with small holes. At its base, the wide, flat head holds the first bead more securely and distributes the pressure more evenly than a standard small head. This advantage is particularly useful with certain beads that have relatively large holes: just make sure the hole is smaller than the head.
What can you do with a 50-mm pin?
Take advantage of its length to layer several beads of different sizes and create a pendant for a necklace or a pair of earrings. In a beaded necklace, this type of clasp allows you to incorporate dangling elements: simply slide your bead onto the pin, then form a loop to attach the whole piece to your base.
Beginners will appreciate the extra length, which gives them room to practice measuring and forming their loops without running out of wire. Experienced designers can use these 50 mm to create elaborate pendants, alternate between different materials, or craft custom beaded links. Our tutorials guide you in adjusting your proportions and achieving consistent finishes.
During the plating process, the stainless steel pins are suspended to be gold-plated. The areas beneath the attachment points are left untreated, revealing their original steel color.
However, this in no way affects the quality of the product. The unplated parts will be hidden by the beads and findings, making them invisible once your creation is complete.
This product has been coated with a PVD finish.
