The advantage of Vega thread is that it's a polyester thread, which is very strong and gives jewelry a hold that Lizbeth cotton or any other cotton can't (unless you harden them).
With polyester thread, there's no need to harden, the thread is shiny.
Importantly, it's more difficult to work with than cotton, and therefore more suitable for confirmed work.
