How to weave brick stitch earrings ?

How to weave earrings in brick stitch?

How to use smooth sequins in a jewel creation?

Cécile alias Little Hands shows us how to create a pair of Miyuki Delicas beaded earrings woven in brick stitch with smooth sequins. A simple tutorial and accessible to all for a handmade jewel to offer or afford, it will be a very appreciated gift.

Are you new to weaving? We advise you to take a look at our data sheets on pearl weaving , how to learn how to make an increase and a reduction in brickstitch weaving?

To begin, you will need a little bit of equipment. Find the whole list at the bottom of the page:

Here is the weaving grid that you will have to follow:

Step 1 :

Weave the 1st line, with the brickstitch technique. Then the 2nd line with an increase. And do this until the end of the pattern (an increase every other line).

2nd step :

The second stage of manufacturing consists of adding pearls.

For this, place your thread at the level of the first pink pearl. Then, put all the pearls according to the model. Iron the thread in the penultimate bead and in all the beads to return to the starting point.

Then iron your thread in the first pink pearl and then in the 2nd pink pearl and do this until the end.

Step 3:

Once finished, you must add the sequins on each last bead using the rings.

Step 4:

Put rings and sleepers in place. They are positioned on the pearl at the top of the triangle pattern.

Step 5:

To finish the creation, apply a coat of varnish only on the triangle pattern, to stiffen it and provide additional protection to the pearls.

Our Tiffanie J. expert answers you (01/02/2024 10:09:18)
