In this bead weaving tutorial, our creative partner Sophie aka Elyconia, teaches you how to make a lovely pair of earrings with this swirl weave. This creation has been created using the brick stitch technique, but with the particularity of using 2 sizes of Delica: 11/0 and 15/0 on both sides to create tension and which will naturally create the swirl effect. In the video, we take you step-by-step through each stage, providing detailed explanations and teaching you how to weave this original and exclusive shape.
Then it's a basic brick stitch technique, as you're probably already familiar with if you're into weaving, with the special feature of always weaving in the same direction to obtain a diagonal weave. I strongly advise you to follow this entire tutorial, where you'll have no trouble understanding and completing all the steps, even if you're just starting out in bead weaving. However, for beginners or as a reminder, you can refer to our technical sheets to learn the brick stitch technique.
We've created these warmly-colored, festive swirl ear rings for the upcoming winter and holiday season, but of course you're free to create your own color combinations and adapt them to each season or event. We have a wide selection of Delica beads on the site, so feel free to make your own selection.
If you reproduce this brick stitch earring tutorial, we invite you to share your creation with us on social networks, mentioning Perles & Co and Elyconia on your post. We love to see the beautiful creations you make! Ready, set, create!
