This earring tutorial shows you how to make a pair of dangling ear rings with Miyuki beads woven using the brickstitch weaving technique.
Brick stitch is a needle-based bead-weaving technique generally used to weave beads of all kinds around a weaving ring or on a hollowed-out jewelry component. Here, the beads have been woven around a drop-shaped hollowed-out support. We've shown you this weaving method before in our technical sheet on how to weave beads around a ring and in various tutorials, such as this pattern for creole earrings in brickstitch weaving and these drop earrings in brick stitch.
This fancy earring model was originally featured in a former miyuki weaving kit named cherry blossom and presented in 2018 as a limited edition. It's no longer available for sale, but we've decided to offer it again for those who may have missed out. We chose to make these earrings with pep's and vitamin colors (red, blue) and pastel colors (Light salmon), a combination of hues ideal for summer. But there's nothing to stop you imagining the perfect color combination by selecting your favorite pearls from our wide selection of Miyuki and MiniDuo pearls.
