You asked us for an explanatory video on how to insert Crystal Mesh in a Peyote weave. Your wish is granted! We hope this tutorial will give you a better understanding of how to insert crystal mesh into a Miyuki delicas 11/0 weave. This technique was previously used by Sev Rin in her tutorial Peyote weaving bracelet with Miyuki Delicas 11/0 beads and Crystal Mesh PureCrystal Strass insertion. We invite you to have a look, her bracelet is beautiful! Moreover, each 5 cm portion of Crystal Mesh sold includes 34 stones. You will need 8 to 9 beads for this tutorial and 20 beads for the Sev Rin bracelet. So you can make both bracelets with one piece of PureCrystal Crystal Mesh! Moreover, you can also reuse the leftover Miyuki delicas 11/0. The same goes for the wire, either one will do.
Crystal Mesh are mini crystal cabochons already set in a crimp and bound together. Normally they are used in one piece, but weavers love to separate them by cutting the little ring that connects them and use each little cabochon in their bead weaving. The famous beadmaker Puca often uses them in her creations as well. Crystal Mesh comes in many colors and sizes, but please note that this tutorial is only for those that are individually 2.7 mm.
The tips used at the end of the weave are exclusive to Perles and Co. They have been invented in-house and are specially designed for Peyote and Brick Stitch weaving with Miyuki delicas 11/0. You can find them for 7 row wide, 13 row and 21 row weaving in various patterns and finishes. If these tips are not to your liking, you can replace them with classic tube weaving tips. Take 10 mm, finish your weave straight and not in herringbone, then use the following technique to be able to slip your beads in. Adapt the Peyote weave to a weaving tip. Without this technique it will not work.
