If you have a large loom, attach 6 threads to the loom. To do this, do not cut your thread from the spool. Hang the thread on one of the nails, run it over the loom to the nail on the other side. Wrap it around the nail and back to the beginning nail, wrap it around and so on.
If you ever have the same small loom model as in the photo, you will need to lengthen the thread, because otherwise your threads will be too short to make a sliding closure. Instead of winding 6 threads, wind 10 threads. Then cut the thread and remove the threads from the loom. Replace them by wrapping the thread around the log instead of the nail so you can artificially lengthen it.
Attach the 6 threads and tie a knot on the nail. Cut a piece of weaving wire about 1.5 m long. Tie the piece of yarn on one of the outer threads placed on the loom. Keep 30 cm of the thread end for the tip finish later. Tie a double knot.
