How to make a bangle bracelet with beads ?

And yes! The end of year celebrations are approaching at high speed and you are the super organized type? Then you're probably already thinking about your party outfit... And it's a good thing! Aurore alias Miss Water Lou suggests you to make a beautiful bangle bracelet with Miyuki beads to wear day and night!

In this tutorial discover how to weave together the different pearls: rocailles, Delicas and Tila thanks to thecircular peyote technique. This method is used for the weaving of the base, on which the Tila beads will be placed afterwards. If you are new to bead weaving, don't panic! Take a look at our technical sheet: How to make a circular peyote weave?

Here you'll find a combination of gold and white beads, a colour mix that we don't vaunt any more, sober and chic at the same time! It is THE perfect combination for a touch of elegance in your style! If you are not a fan of these colours, you can of course change the colours of the pearls by finding all the references available on our site: rocailles, Délicas, and Tila.

To know : This bracelet corresponds to a 21 cm hand passage. It can be reduced or increased by 1.2 cm.

To start your weaving, you can create a rigid support with the desired dimension thanks to a cut plastic bottle.

Now it's your turn! Don't hesitate to share with our community of enthusiasts your holiday creations!

Tutorial steps

Step 1
So Chic Bangle bracelet with Miyuki seed beads and Tila : Step 1

The base of the bracelet:

First of all, make a circular peyote bracelet. Be careful, here we will juggle between the classic method (one bead at a time on the needle) and the "2 Drop" method (please, two beads at a time).

I invite you to consult figure 1 which indicates the beginning of each row.

Remember that the rows read well horizontally.

Row 1 and 2:

Make a string of 160 beads (150 for a narrower row, 170 for a wider row).

Always count your beads again!

Go through the first bead in the string to create a circle.

Row 3:

Pass a bead over your needle, "skip" a bead in the string and then pick up the next bead.

Pass two beads on your needle, "skip" two beads from the string and then pick up the next bead.

Repeat until the end of the row.

To finish this round: Pass through the first bead of row 1 and then through the first bead of row 3.

Row 4:

String a bead, iron through the two beads that show up on your weave.

Thread a bead, iron through a bead that is on your weave.

Repeat until the end of the row

To finish this round: Pass through the first bead of row 3 then through the first bead of row 4.

Row 5:

Using the same principle, alternate two beads and then one bead. Repeat this sequence until the end of the "round". Look at the picture that corresponds to the diagram.

Step 2
So Chic Bangle bracelet with Miyuki seed beads and Tila : Step 2

You will then pause the circular weaving with the delicas and start working with the tilas.

Refer to the diagram. You have to place a tila in front of four delicas and fix it by passing it through a delica.

Do the trick, a little patience, the most difficult part is already over!

Step 3
So Chic Bangle bracelet with Miyuki seed beads and Tila : Step 3

You will then pass your thread to the other side, fold the tilas over and secure them using the same principle.

Step 4
So Chic Bangle bracelet with Miyuki seed beads and Tila : Step 4

To help your "tilas" take their place, add 2 mm faceted beads. Make a string on both sides of the bracelet.

Step 5
So Chic Bangle bracelet with Miyuki seed beads and Tila : Step 5

Resume the circular weaving on one side of the bracelet by putting 15/0 instead of "delica" on one row.

On the other side: weave 2 more rows of delica for the first bracelet and one row for the second bracelet.

Step 6
So Chic Bangle bracelet with Miyuki seed beads and Tila : Step 6

Join your two parts by zigzagging through your weave

Step 7
So Chic Bangle bracelet with Miyuki seed beads and Tila : Step 7

Thread the number of beads needed to go around the bracelet.

And above all :

Admire your work and congratulate yourself!

Step 8
So Chic Bangle bracelet with Miyuki seed beads and Tila : Step 8

I want to change the size of the bracelet. How can I do it?

As mentioned above, you can increase the size of the bracelet by adding 10 miyuki beads to the base.

Observe the corresponding diagram: 1 section = 2 "tilas" = 10 "delica".
