Red Jasper and seed beads fringe earrings

Start by forming the heart of the circle with the 5 Jasper beads. Cut 1.2 m of thread, thread the needle and thread the 5 Jasper beads. Make a double knot with both ends of the thread and thread the needle through the first bead again.

Thread 1 golden seed bead and pass through the next Jasper bead. Add 1 gold seed bead between each red bead. Go around and place yourself in the first golden bead.

Thread 2 off-white seed beads, 1 15/0 terracotta seed bead, 2 off-white seed beads and move on to the next golden one. Repeat this step until you have gone all the way around.

Pass the 2 threads one after the other through the beads to solidify the weave, then cut the smallest piece of thread.

Leave the first part aside. We will now weave the circle. Cut a new 1.2 m piece of yarn and tie it to the ring with a double knot. Thread 2 Salmon beads and place them against the inside of the ring. Pass the thread around the ring and back into the second bead. Tighten the weave.

Thread a new Salmon bead and place it against the second bead. Pass the thread around the ring and back into the bead. Repeat step 4 another 22 to 23 times. You need to attach a minimum of 25 beads in total (on the model there are 26, but 25 will be preferable later on for a more balanced attachment of the flower branches).

Attach the first and last beads together by threading through the first and last beads twice.

Put the needle on the thread of the first part of the tutorial. You are going to attach the flower to the circle. To do this, place the thread in one of the 15/0 beads. Pass through a Salmon bead, pass the thread around the ring and back through the same Salmon bead. Pass through the 15/0 rockery from the other side this time and continue through the beads to the next 15/0 bead.

You will repeat step 6 4 more times to attach all the 15/0 beads to the circle. There are 4 Salmon beads between the beads that serve as attachment points to the branches, unless you have strung 26 beads. In that case, there will be 5 beads, not 4, between two point beads in one place.

Iron the thread through the flower, tie a knot using a piece of woven thread, iron it through the beads to hide it and cut it.

Repeat steps 3 and 4 to attach off-white beads around the circle this time. So place the beads against the outside, not the inside. The technique is the same. There are 32 beads in all.

Then leave this part out and move on to the rectangle.

Repeat steps 3 and 4 to weave 25 terracotta 11/0 beads around the rectangle. Then place yourself in the first almost flat bead on one of the longer sides.

You will need about 10 beads properly distributed on this side. Each of these will be used to add a fringe.

Your thread should be pointing to the outside of the rectangle. If it is not, pass the thread around the rectangle bar to return to the same bead and you will be on the right side. For the first fringe, string the following beads: 3 MR11/491, 3 MR11/642, 3 MR11/2315, 3 MR11/4202, 3 MR11/4691, 10 MR11/491, 1 MR11/4691, 1 MR11/4202.

Then go back up into the beads with the needle, without going back into the golden bead at the end. This is what will prevent the other beads from falling. Go up to the terracotta bead in the rectangle. Then go through the terracotta bead next to it and thread the beads of the second fringe. These are exactly the same beads but there is 1 more MR11/491 at the beginning.

Repeat step 11 for the remaining bangs. For each new fringe, add an off-white bead at the beginning (3? fringe = 5 off-white beads, 4? fringe = 6 off-white beads). The fifth and sixth fringe both have 7 MR11/491 beads. Then, from the seventh to the tenth, remove one MR11/491 bead at the beginning each time.

Once you have finished all the fringes, tie the thread

Attach the first part of the weave to the rectangle. Your thread on the circle should be positioned in a white bead, towards the outside of the circle, at one of the 15/0 terracotta beads. If not, move it through the beads. Thread a Jasper bead and pass through the central terracotta bead on the side of the rectangle.

Go around the rectangle bar and back into the terracotta bead. Pass through the Jasper bead and the white bead again. Turn around the ring and pass through the set of beads twice more.

Knot, hide the thread and cut it. Put a bit of glue on all the knots.

Pass an open ring between the Salmon beads at the top of the ring and add the ear stud before closing the ring.
