How to make a circular peyote weaving ring?

We had good feedback on the first one so we decided to give you others ... Moozmoeuh offers you a tutorial to make with very little material (which luckily is already in your cupboards). You can take a look at his Instagram account to discover his varied creative universe, and also take a look at his Youtube channel

A single reference from Miyuki Délicas 11/0 is enough to make this pretty ring in peyote weaving so we are counting on you to find it in your stuff without much trouble. We also think particularly of pearlists who will find it difficult to decide among the colors, but we trust you. And if it's too hard, you will have to give in ... and make several!

All you have to do is arm yourself with your needle and thread and off you go!

The stages :

Step 1 : Cut about 1m of wire. Thread 46 beads on the wire and cross it in the first bead

step 1 - peyote-pearl-Miyuki-Délicas-11 weaving ring

Step 2 : Weave your second row with the peyote technique by inserting a pearl, one pearl out of two from the previous row (see photo below). You can also take a look at this technical sheet: How to make a simple pair peyote weaving?

step 2 - peyote-pearl-Miyuki-Délicas-11 weaving ring

Step 3 : You get this. You now have 2 rows. Continue like this until 5th row.

step 3 - peyote-pearl-Miyuki-Délicas-11 weaving ring

Step 4 : On this fifth row, start leaving an empty space allowing later to insert the labradorite gemstone. For this, in the middle of the row, do not insert a pearl and descend into the 3 pearls of the previous row and go up to finish your row

Step 5 : Repeat the operation on the next row going down in the 5 beads constituting the void in the two previous rows

step 5 - peyote-pearl-Miyuki-Délicas-11 weaving ring

Step 6 : Continue like this, going down in the 7 beads forming the void then go up to finish your row

Step 7 : To the next row, add 7 beads (in the air, in the empty space) without tightening the thread too much

step 7 - peyote-pearl-Miyuki-Délicas-11 weaving ring

Step 8 : In the next row, insert a bead on each side of the 7 air beads of the previous row.

Step 9 : On the next row, repeat the operation by inserting a bead on each side of the 5 remaining air beads on the previous row

step 9 - peyote-pearl-Miyuki-Délicas-11 weaving ring

Step 10 : Same, insert a pearl on each side of the 3 remaining pearls in the previous row

step 10 - peyote-pearl-Miyuki-Délicas-11 weaving ring

Step 11 : The next row finds all its pearls aligned normally

step 11 - peyote-pearl-Miyuki-Délicas-11 weaving ring

Step 12 : Continue like this in circular peyote weaving on 5 rows

step 13 - peyote-pearl-Miyuki-Délicas-11 weaving ring

Step 13 : Lock the thread in the weaving, making sure to secure the weaving. Cut flush.

step 14 - peyote-pearl-Miyuki-Délicas-11 weaving ring

Step 14 : With the wire from the other end, return to the bead of one or the other of the ends of the space left empty for the gemstone. Insert a Miyuki pearl, the gemstone and then a Miyuki pearl again.

Step 15 : Bring the thread into the Miyuki pearl, tighten everything well and block your thread by inserting it into your weaving.

Here, your pretty ring made of Miyuki Délicas 11/0 pearls is finished! We find it too hot, do you?

Bonjour Simone,
