String 6 golden pearls, iron through all the pearls 2 times and, in the case of 8/0 delicas, make a double knot. Do not overtighten the resulting circle. This is the first row of weaving.

This tutorial was created by Perles & Co for femmeactuelle.fr. Learn how to make Japanese-inspired stars using the circular peyote needle-weaving technique. You can make these stars with Miyuki Delicas 11/0 beads for jewelry, or Delicas 8/0 or 10/0 beads for tree or table decorations. Delicas 11/0 stars are a little concave, which is normal. You can reduce this effect by tightening the weave as little as possible and flattening it with your fingers. The larger the delicas, the flatter the star. As a reminder, 11/0 is smaller than 10/0 is smaller than 8/0.
For 10/0 and 8/0, use fireline rather than weaving line.
You can also use these little bead-weaving stars to decorate gift packages or make glass markers.

String 6 golden pearls, iron through all the pearls 2 times and, in the case of 8/0 delicas, make a double knot. Do not overtighten the resulting circle. This is the first row of weaving.

Thread a new gold bead between each gold bead threaded in the previous step. Exit through the first gold bead threaded in this step.

Again, thread a new golden bead between each golden bead threaded in the previous step and exit through the first bead.

This time, add 2 black beads at a time between each gold bead strung in the previous step.

Now thread a gold bead between each black bead.

Add a black bead between each gold bead strung in step 5.

Alternate adding two black pearls and one gold pearl, following the pattern.

Add a gold bead between each pair of black beads and a black bead in the other slots.

Continue to follow the diagrams.

Observe the diagram carefully and do not add beads to the empty space on the lines of gold beads starting from the center. Instead, pass the needle through the gold bead below the empty space.

Continue following the pattern, passing the needle through the beads already woven where you don't need to add beads.

Once you've threaded the top beads, pass the thread through the weave beads a few times to catch it, then cut it flush with the weave. Do the same with the center thread.
