For this design, we chose Heishi beads whose shades of green, brown, pink, and gray make each pair slightly different. They’re strung directly onto gold hoop earrings, with a fine gold plated ball charm placed in the center to add movement to the piece.
The assembly is particularly simple: thread 9 Heishi beads, trying to vary the colors about every three beads, then add the ball charm.
Finish with 9 more Heishi beads before closing your hoop. Then repeat the same steps to make the second earring. You can follow the exact same color sequence or let the shades blend naturally to create a slightly asymmetrical pair. Check out the materials needed to make a silver version of these earrings.

Open the hoop, then flatten it out completely using two pairs of pliers to make it easier to thread the beads.
Next, string 9 Heishi gemstone beads. To create a nice color pattern, vary the shades about every 3 beads.
Next, thread the ball charm onto the center of the hoop.
Add another 9 Heishi beads, continuing to alternate the colors in the same way to maintain a harmonious look.
Once all the beads are strung, use your pliers to form a right angle so you can close the hoop properly.
Repeat the same steps to make the second earring.
