Seed beads fish keyring

Take a long piece of wire, at least 60 to 80 cm. Slip a yellow bead and a blue bead into the center, then pass the thread through both beads so that it crosses inside. This will create a loop.

Continue like this: pass the beads through one piece of thread and slide the empty piece onto the other side of the beads. The aim is to have the wires cross inside the beads.

To follow the exact rows:

Row 1: one yellow bead, one blue bead.

Row 2: two yellow beads, one blue bead.

Row 3: two yellow beads, but don't slip the other side of the thread until step 2.

After sliding in your two yellow beads, slide the thread through a white heishi bead, then through a black seed bead. Pass the thread back through the white heishi bead as shown, then through two blue beads. Tighten and pass the other piece of thread in the opposite direction, the blue beads and then the yellow beads.

Follow the pattern, sliding the thread along each side of the bead rows.

Rows 4 to 8 (after making the eye row): 2 yellow beads, 1 light blue bead, 2 blue beads

Row 9: 2 yellow beads, 1 light blue bead, 1 blue bead

Rank 10: 2 yellow beads, 1 blue bead

Row 11: Pass 1 light-blue bead over each end of thread and cross into a third light-blue bead in the center.

Next, make the fish tail by passing threads through one yellow bead, two blue beads and two light-blue beads. Pass the wires back through the beads and then through one of the light blue beads at the end of row 11.

From there, repeat the fish in the other direction, still using the same thread.

Once the two pieces of fish are done, hook them together at the sides. Pass the thread through the loops and pull tight.

At the end, cut the remaining thread and wedge it inside the fish.

Next, make the bead wire. Cut a fairly long piece of nylon thread (30-35 cm), slip it through a Crimp bead, then through a tight ring and pass the thread back through the Crimp bead.

Crush the bead with a pair of crush bead pliers and cover it with a crush bead cover, as in our video"Making pretty finishes with crush beads". If you don't have one, use flat-nose pliers.

Then thread the beads as you wish, or as shown here: 3 pearly beads, 4 yellow seed beads, one star bead, 4 yellow seed beads, 9 heishi beads, one fish bead, 9 heishi beads, 5 blue seed beads, one star bead, 5 blue seed beads, 3 pearly beads, 4 light blue seed beads, 3 pearly beads, one fish bead, 3 pearly beads, 4 light blue seed beads, 3 pearly beads, 5 blue seed beads, one star bead, 5 blue seed beads, 9 heishi beads, one fish bead, 9 heishi beads, 4 yellow seed beads, one star bead, 4 yellow seed beads, 3 pearly beads.

Pass the thread through another Crimp bead and repeat. Pass the thread through the ring, then back through the bead to be crushed, and crush it.

Using two pliers, thread one ring through the fish, another through the clasp and assemble the 3 rings together. Your key ring is now ready.
