Cork is the trendy new natural material for your DIY creations, and it's full of interest: pleasant to the touch, it's soft and smooth. Thanks to Delphine from the blog A cardboard dream, here's an idea for decorating with cork. You'll learn how to easily customize tin cans to create trendy planters with cork fabric, an easy-to-make accessory that will add an original touch to your decor.
Do you know what cork fabric is ? It's a fabric with a real cork surface and a woven fabric backing, offering a variety of uses in sewing, leather goods, jewelry making, customization and scarpbooking.You can cut it, sew it, glue it,stamp it, perforate it, paint it, write on it... You can combine it with other cork products for 100% plant-based creations.

STEP 1
Start by crushing the sharp edge of your tin can.

Next, apply tape to the folded edge.

STEP 2
To measure the correct size of cork fabric, measure the circumference of the can, adding an extra 1 cm, as well as its height, and transfer the measurements to the reverse side of the cork fabric.


STEP 3
Place double-sided tape all around the box, then position the cork cloth straight. Wrap the cork around the box, applying pressure to secure it. Finally, add double-sided tape for the remaining 1 cm.



Your can customization is now complete!
