Looking for anoriginal shoulder strap for your bag? Find out in this tutorial how to make a suede and macraméhandle for your bag. Combining elegance and bohemian style, this handle will add a trendy and unique touch to your summer bag. Whether you're into casual style or want to add a bohemian touch to your outfit, this bag handle will fit perfectly with your personal style.
Start by sewing your suede lace, then make your macramé braided cord to obtain this pretty handle. This tutorial is easy enough for beginners. What's more, you can get this handbag handle for less than €20. As you can see, we've designed it for a shoulder bag. However, its length is adjustable, so you can choose the length that suits you best. It's up to you to decide whether you want to shorten or lengthen the suede or macramé part. For the suede lace, we've opted for the color of summer: orange! But adapt this creation to your taste by choosing your color from among our suedette laces on the site.

Cut the 1 m suedette lace in half to obtain a 50 cm piece. Sew the two ends to the oval rings, hemming 2.5 cm. Sew a rectangle with a cross inside to solidify the seam.

Cut 2 pieces of 60 cm cord and 2 pieces of 4 m cord. Tie the short cords to the oval rings with a lark's knot. Allow one side to protrude by only 4 cm.

Tie the 4 m ropes to the small ropes on either side of the cove. Follow the photo. Keep the length the same on both sides.

Tie a new knot as shown in the photo:
- The left-hand rope goes over the two center ropes.
- The right-hand rope goes over the left-hand rope, under the center ropes and through the loop.
Tighten.

Repeat step 4 until you've covered about 29 cm of rope, but before you reach the end, attach the other end of the short rope to a carabiner and let the rope protrude. Finish the knots, covering the two center ropes each time to hide them.

Cut off the excess rope and glue the rope ends together.
