Cut a 40 cm piece of wire and a 2 m piece of wire. Tape the 40 cm wire to the work surface or to a macramé tray. Tie the 2m wire to the 40cm wire 10cm from the end. The 2m wire should be the same length on both sides of the knot.

This small bracelet is made with Linhasita wire in 0,5 mm. This wire is a poissé wire specially designed to hold knots. You can also use another 0.5 mm wire as long as it is resistant to friction. Please note that only synthetic yarns can be melted. Natural threads such as silk or cotton must be glued with glue. Most gold or silver threads will not be suitable for this tutorial, as they are too thick or not rub resistant enough. If you don't like Linhasita, you can use C-Lon Beading Cord (0.5 mm).
The small golden beads are made of silver 925 gold plated. 1 bag of 100 beads allows you to make a small bracelet size XS or child. If you have a normal or larger wrist, you will need the 2 bags indicated in the material list. These beads are also available in 925 sterling silver with a slightly smaller hole so you will need to be a little more patient to thread the wire through. You can lightly burn the end of the wire to make it easier to pass through the beads and avoid fraying.
The heart bead can be replaced by a letter bead or even a word if you reduce the knots on each side. Find more customization ideas in the material list at the bottom of the page.
Are you a fan of the shell cup in the tutorial photos? You can make it yourself with this tutorial, it's very easy. It is made with casting powder called Raysin. See: DIY Seashell cup.

Cut a 40 cm piece of wire and a 2 m piece of wire. Tape the 40 cm wire to the work surface or to a macramé tray. Tie the 2m wire to the 40cm wire 10cm from the end. The 2m wire should be the same length on both sides of the knot.

Make a macramé overhand knot with the long thread. Discover this knot in video. This knot is made up of two knots. For the first knot, pass one thread, the top one for example, under the center thread and over the other thread. Pass the second wire over the center wire and through the loop formed by the first wire. Tighten.

The second part is the reverse of the first. The bottom thread will go under the center thread and over the top thread. The top thread will go above the center thread and into the loop formed by the other thread.

Repeat steps 2 and 3 until you have approximately 2 cm of knots.

Thread 1 bead onto each wire except the center one. Repeat steps 2 and 3 to make a macramé overhand knot. Then repeat this step 5, two more times.

You get this.

String a green bead on the middle wire and three beads on the other two wires.

Make a full macramé overhand knot again.

Repeat steps 5-8 to add 3 more chains. This number should be adjusted according to the size of your wrist and if you want to add more than one bead to the center of the bracelet.
The total length of this part should be almost equal to half of your wrist size. If you are adding a word in the center, such as Hello, measure how long those beads are on the bracelet, subtract that length from your wrist size and divide by two to see how long the knots + beads are.

Pass the 3 wires through the washers and into the heart bead. There are 3 washers on each side of the bead. You can wrap the 3 wires in a piece of tape to make it easier to pass through the washers and into the bead.

Do the same on the other side of the bracelet. Once the two sides are identical, cut the wire 3 mm from the last knot on each side of the center wire. Burn it with a lighter or wire burner, being careful as the wire catches fire. Extinguish it by placing the lighter against the wire. The wire will melt and stick to the knot. This is the most delicate step because you can burn your wire too much and have to start the bracelet again so be very focused.

Cross the two remaining threads of the bracelet. Take a new piece of yarn about 15 cm long. Tie it on the two threads of the bracelet. The two parts of this new thread should be the same length on each side of the knot.

On both ends of the bracelet, add a bead and tie a knot to keep it from falling off.

Make a macramé overhand knot with the new thread on the two threads of the bracelet. Make a knot of about 8 mm. Cut the ends of the wire 3 mm from the last knot to melt them. Make sure the knot is fused. Test the bracelet on your hand and adjust the length of the bracelet wire ends. You should be able to put your hand through the bracelet without forcing it.
