Get your gear ready. For each earring you will need :
- 13 seed beads 6/0
- 8 coloured threads Sand of 30 cm
- 8 coloured threads Sand of 30 cm
- 12 coloured threads Coral of 30 cm
As you know, the trend is towards macramé! Whether you want to make beautiful wall decorations, plant hangers or jewellery, macramé knots are the same. They are numerous but generally quite easy to make. So once in mind, give free rein to your imagination to mix the different knots and create unique and original weaves!
In this video tutorial, By Lilou Créa shows you how to weave Linhasita macramé threads around creole earrings with the micro-macramé technique. You can of course change the colours by choosing from our wide range of yarns.
It's up to you!
Get your gear ready. For each earring you will need :
- 13 seed beads 6/0
- 8 coloured threads Sand of 30 cm
- 8 coloured threads Sand of 30 cm
- 12 coloured threads Coral of 30 cm
Place 4 strands of the coral colour on the creole using larkspur knots. Repeat this step for each group of strands, alternating the colours.
Attention! For the second creole, remember to reverse the direction of the hook of the creole.
Start by working on the wire group in the middle.
Tie the left outer thread twice to the next thread. Repeat this operation on the other side, weaving with the right outer thread.
Join the two sides by tying the two strands in the centre together to form a point. Insert a bead on the two centre strands.
Make knots on each side of the bead in the same way as in the previous step, so as to border it and form a point.
Repeat steps 3 and 4 for each colour group.
Now connect each colour group to each other to make them stick together.
Begin by inserting a seed bead by passing a thread of each color through the center of the bead, making sure to insert one thread in one direction and the second thread in the opposite direction.
Weave with the same knots as before to obtain a new spike. For perfect symmetry, make sure to make the last knot (the one forming the point) with the thread of the same colour as the one used to make the point of the same colour on the rest of the weave.
Cut your threads about 1 mm from your knots and burn them.
That's it, your pair of earrings is now finished.
