Tuto Small Miyuki Bracelets in Peyote special weaving tips

Perhaps you're already familiar with our Perles and Co weaving tips? We've released them in brass, 925 Sterling Silver and, most recently, gold-plated. Today, we're offering a third model with a star cut-out and a smaller version of the 3 existing models in 18 mm.

You can attach these end-pieces to Miyuki weaves in odd 7-row Peyote to create thinner bracelets to be worn stacked with other weaves or beaded bracelets.

These beads are designed in-house at Perles and Co and are available only on our website. They give your bracelets an attractive finish and make them even more personalized.

In this video (online August 16 on YouTube), we present the different models and answer some of the questions you frequently ask us about Peyote bracelets and these tips.

• Can I use a loom weaving grid for peyote weaving? Unfortunately not. The beads are not positioned in the same way on a Peyote needle weave as they are on a loom weave. This means that weaving charts cannot be reused from one technique to another, and it's often simpler to start with a new chart rather than try to modify the existing one for another weave. We have some blank weaving charts for you to print out here.
• Can I use these tips for loom weaving? For the same reason as above, the beads are not placed in the same way, so the angle at the end of the bracelet is not the same either. The angle of these ends doesn't match the angle of the loom weaves. For loom weaves, prefer straight weaving tips.
• Can I use these tips with brick stitch weaving? Although the weaving technique is different, the position of the beads is the same, so you can use these tips for brick stitch weaving.
• How do I attach my bracelet to these tips? See video from minute 6:45.
• How do I lengthen a weaving grid? Simply duplicate a pattern or add chevrons of Miyuki beads. To shorten, adjust the beads on the printed pattern for ease of use. Test and measure your bracelet regularly to adjust the weave length. To find out how many beads to add to the length you're missing, divide the missing length in mm by 1.6 mm (width of 11/0 delicas). Example for 2 cm: 20/1.6=12.5 You'll need between 12 and 13 delicas 11/0 beads to make a 2 cm weave.
