If you're a beginner in bead weaving, you'll need to master the odd peyote weaving technique to make this beaded cuff. To help you do this, here are a number of technical sheets:

Mariette B. invites you to create a Brazilian-style beaded bracelet using the peyote impair technique. We're not talking about weaving cotton threads together, but weaving beads. Discover how to create a "Hypnotic" pattern with optical illusions, using thread and needle. This wide bead-weave bracelet resembles the Brazilian bracelets or friendship bracelets you see blossoming around your wrists or ankles as the summer approaches. But you don't have to reserve this model just for the summer months, thanks to all the color variations imagined by our partner Mariette. Discover the different diagrams and choose your favorite colors. And if our wide range of Miyuki Délicas 11/0 beads catches your eye and you feel like playing with colors, then let yourself be tempted and compose your own diagram using a blank grid.
The pattern is rather complex and requires a certain level of familiarity with diagrams and weaving grids. If you're a beginner and have mastered the basics of bead weaving, this project is perfectly feasible, requiring just a little concentration. On the other hand, if this is your first weaving project, it's best to start with an odd peyote weaving project. If you'd like to know more about the odd peyote technique used in this tutorial, you'll find links in the steps to our weaving technique sheets to help you master it with ease.
To get started with this tutorial, simply download the diagram of your choice below. At the bottom of the tutorial page, you'll find all the bead references used in the different versions. Be sure to select the references corresponding to the diagram of your choice when building your basket.
Tip: When reading the diagram, be sure to start weaving at the bottom of the right-hand grid. Then move on to the left-hand diagram, always starting at the bottom.

If you're a beginner in bead weaving, you'll need to master the odd peyote weaving technique to make this beaded cuff. To help you do this, here are a number of technical sheets:
Start weaving your cuff by taking a fairly long length of thread (you can add thread at any time during the weaving process) and start weaving according to the diagram.
1) Start with the line in the center of the diagram, so that you can adjust the length of the cuff with the pattern centered. Once you've completed the first side, return to the center of the pattern with your thread to weave the second part.
or
2) Start at one end until you've woven the entire diagram, if you're happy with the overall length.
Once your weave is complete, secure your threads inside the weave by zigzagging between several strands of beads.
Now place the weaving end caps at each end, sliding the last row of weaving inside. Using jewelry pliers, close the flap on the end cap to secure it.
Using your pliers, open a ring and connect a clasp to the weaving end ring.
