Want to create your own silver jewelry designs? We have thousands of references of jewelry primers at your disposal to create without limits. Among the silver materials, you will find925 silver, stainless steel, silver plated and fine silver plated as well as silver plated metals. But which silver metal to choose?
You want a durable and noble metal? Choose 925 silver. This metal oxidizes, but can be easily cleaned with suitable products. Stainless steel does not oxidize as its name indicates. Its appearance is still darker than 925 silver. Silver plating and fine silver plating is a primer made of a less noble metal and covered with a thin layer of silver. The appearance is similar to 925 silver. Fine silver plating is a much thinner layer than silver plating and is considered a fancy metal. The silver layer can wear off and disappear over time to reveal the metal underneath. The same is true for silver plated metal which can oxidize and wear away.
