What is work-hardened metal?
Work-hardened metal is metal that has been hardened. The more work-hardened it is, the harder it is and therefore more difficult to deform. Very strong, it will not chip or deteriorate over time.
To restore its malleability, it needs to be annealed, i.e. heated to a certain temperature using a furnace or blowtorch.
