How to sew a button?
- Choose your thread generally in the tones of the garment you want to sew it onto.
- Don't hesitate to double the thread to make it even stronger.
- Take a needle and pass the thread through the eye, so that it hangs as much on one side as on the other.
- Tie a knot at the end of the thread.
- Position the button on the fabric, checking that it is aligned with the buttonhole.
- Pass the thread through the fabric from below, through one of the holes in the button and pull the thread through.
- Then pass the thread through the second hole, this time from above and vice versa.
- Once the button is securely fastened, pass the thread between the button and the fabric and twist a few times, iron into the fabric, tie a knot and you've got a garment that closes.
