DIY trend zero waste: We start?
In summary

Zero waste starts with simple gestures, like replacing disposable items with reusable alternatives, such as cloth make-up remover wipes or bulk bags. Thanks to practical tutorials, you can easily create accessories such as cherry-stone hot-water bottles or personalized tote bags, while helping to protect the environment.

Zero waste is the future! So how do you get started? What are the basic tutorials and DIYs to add to your list? Perles&Co gives you a few tips and ideas to get you started!

Zero waste yes, but how? Nothing could be simpler: just start by replacing the "disposable" things you use - for example, replace make-up remover cotton pads with washable, reusable make-up remover wipes or a bamboo glove, do away with plastic bags and use bulk bags, net shopping bags or tote bags... And why not make your own! Here are a few simple zero-waste sewing tutorials to get you started.

Zero-waste also means reusing objects that are normally disposable, such as cherry pits, or customizing a tin can to make a pencil cup, washable wipes holder or pocket divider...

Make-up remover wipes

A new easy zero-waste sewing tutorial to get you started - washable bamboo terry clothmake-up remover gloves and wipes! And guess what? Our fabrics are Oeko-Tex certified. Find out more about our Oeko-Tex fabrics for your creations. How to make make-up remover wipes easily? Follow our tutorial!

Why use make-up remover wipes rather than disposable cotton pads? Cotton is a plant that drinks a lot of water: to produce 250g of cotton you need no less than 25m3 of water, the equivalent of a swimming pool. So with reusable make-up remover wipes, you're doing a great deal for the planet! A quarter of the world's pesticides are used in cotton production, which makes you think... That's why you should use our Oeko-Tex fabrics, so you can be sure of what you're putting on your skin.
