To make a dichroic pendant, start by cutting a rectangle of black glass and adding pieces of dichroic glass with the same coefficient of expansion. Follow the firing curve up to 780°C, then clean and attach the cabochon to a bélière to finalize your creation.
Making a dichroic pendant
To make this pendant, we recommend that you read the Introduction to fusing data sheet (which explains the firing curve and COE).

Step 1:
Cut a 1.5 cm by 3 cm rectangle from black glass.
Cut out pieces of dichroic glass with the same COE and place them on the black plate.
Step 2:
Cut a piece of clear glass of the same size and COE as the black glass and place it on top of the dichroic glass.

Step 3:
Follow the firing curve, raising the final temperature to 780°C and holding for 10 minutes.
Once firing is complete, clean the cabochon under water to remove any paper residue.
Step 4:
Glue the pendant to a clamp using strong glue.
