How to make a triangle pendant

The triangular fused glass pendant is a creative way of joining pieces of glass. Before getting started, we recommend you consult the fusing initiation data sheet to master the firing curve and COE.

How to make a triangle pendant

We advise you to read first the 'Getting started with glass fusing' sheet,
where firing process is explained.

Step 1:
Cut off two triangles in transparent glass. Put one of them on ceramic paper that we have put on kiln ceramic fiber before.
Put some coloured glass pieces on the triangle.

Step 2:

Roll a piece of ceramic paper and position it on the first third of the triangle.

Step 3:
Cut off some coloured glass pieces and put them on the ceramic paper.

Step 4:
Clean well with alcohol.

Step 5:
Put the second triangle on all the pieces.

Step 6:
Check the position of the elements in the oven before closing the door.

Step 7:
Follow the firing process (final temperature: 780°C for 10 minutes).
Once the firing process is over, clean the cabochon with water to remove
the paper residue.

Pass a cord through the ceramic paper space.

Tutorial steps

Step 1

Cut two triangles out of clear glass. Place one of the triangles on a piece of divider paper on a baking sheet.
Place colored glass pieces on one of the triangles.

Step 2

Roll up a piece of divider paper and place it one-third of the way up the triangle.

Step 3

Place colored glass pieces on the rolled up divider paper.

Step 4

Remember to always clean the glass well with rubbing alcohol.

Place the second triangle on top.

Step 6

Correct the positioning of the parts in the oven before closing the door.

Step 7

Follow the baking curve by raising the final temperature to 780°C and holding for 10 minutes.
When finished baking, clean the cabochon under water to remove any paper residue.

Thread a cord through the space reserved by the divider paper.
