Micro-Mesh is a widely used polishing tool in polymer. It is an abrasive cloth with water made of silicon carbide. It is effective only if you have prepared your piece beforehand by sanding up to 1000 grit.
Both flexible and durable, this micro mesh paper does not tear and lasts longer than a classical abrasive. Use it as sanding paper in water with soap.
The Micro Gloss is a liquid micro abrasive that finishes your polishing. We advise you to use it at the end to get a deep shine.
To polish your piece, it is important to proceed by step: how to use the Micro-Mesh abrasive sheets?
1. Sand your workpiece to 1000 gr.
2. Using soap and water, scrub the surface to be polished with the Micro-Mesh abrasive cloths in regular circular motions.
We advise you to place the abrasive cloth around the sanding wedge in order to restart your sanding force in an optimal
and regular way. In addition, the abrasive fouls less quickly because it's an homogeneous pressure.
3. Pass the 1500 grain at first and then sharpen up to 6000 grain. Be careful not to skip 1500 to 4000 grain, it will be
harder to shine afterwards.
4. Pass the micro-gloss fluid with a soft cloth.
5. Clean the cloths with clean water after each use to remove residue and air-dry.
For a professional and durable finish, we advise you to polish your polymer parts every time.
