What is Fimo clay? It's a polymer clay that hardens when baked. Fimo is the best-known brand, but there are others. It's ideal for making jewelry, magnets, key rings, figurines... See all our polymer clay jewelry and decorative object tutorials!
Very easy to model, Fimo Effect clay is as supple as Fimo Soft. Some have a pearlescent, glittery, pastel, metallic, transparent, granite or phosphorescent effect.
Have fun mixing them to obtain unique effects. They can be mixed with all the other pastes in the Fimo range: soft, classic, kids or pro.
How to use Fimo?
1) Work on a tiled plate or silicone mat.
2) Knead the polymer clay by hand, roller or machine.
3) Shape it.
4) Arrange your creations on the plate for baking.
5) When the oven is at 120°C, place your models in the oven for 30 minutes.
6) Remove your creations from the baking tray and leave to cool.
7) Leave the oven door and window open for ventilation.
Use our modeling tools to give shape to your creations. Our cookie cutters and texture plates will enable you to make unique and original creations.
After drying, you can sand, scrape, paint, sculpt or varnish your objects.
