Discover this candle mold to make homemade scented candles!
Reusable at will, this candle mold contains an oval and a round footprint decorated with an abstract face design.
How to make handmade candles?
- Place the mold on a flat and protected surface.
- Place the wicks in each shape of the mold:
- Cut the wicks (height of the candle + 10 cm)
- Make a double knot at 2cm from one end, slide it into the slot at the bottom of the candle.
- Roll up a small piece of parchment paper (or aluminum foil) so that it fits into the hole at the top of the candle.
Stretch the wick, push it into the slot with the rolled up paper and leave it in place. Make sure that the wick is locked and pushed down to the bottom of the slots, it should be in the center of the candle.
- Prepare the candle wax with dyes and scents according to the manufacturer's instructions and pour it carefully into the mold.
- Wait for the candles to cool completely, then remove them from the mold.
Break off excess wax from the wicks and adjust the length.
How to makescented candles? Simply add to melt the wax. Off the heat, add a special candle scented oil when the wax is liquid, then pour it into your candle mold. Get inspired by our tutorial! Your original candle will look great on the living room coffee table!
Please note that if you want to use essential oils, they are not suitable for creating DIY candles.
Be careful! Cut the wick on the base side flush with the wax and make sure the candle is stable before lighting it.
Always move the candles on a flammable support with a rim to collect the melted wax.
