In this tutorial, we used rapeseed wax, a natural vegetable wax without any petroleum derivative. It is important to know that this wax is more difficult to work with and tends to fracture or frost on its surface once poured. These small defects can discourage some people who prefer soy or beeswax.
We wanted to test and see for ourselves the disadvantages of this wax. In the end, these small marks make the charm of the candle, it is the result of craftsmanship. One of its strong points is that it melts at low temperature which allows to prolong the life of your candles.
You will have understood it, we have adhered to this 100% natural and non toxic wax.

Melt a large amount of wax in a double boiler. Depending on your container, you will need more or less wax.
Stir your wax until the pellets have completely melted.
Be careful not to boil the wax.

In the meantime, place the wick on foot in your container.
Use a chopstick to keep the wick straight.

When the wax is liquid, you can remove it from the fire and add a few drops of candle perfume.
It is important to use suitable candle perfume. Mix lavender flowers in the wax.

Before the wax is completely dry, prick the dried flowers into the wax. On the side of the container, as far away from the wick as possible.
If your dried flowers are too close to the wick, they may catch fire.
Never leave candles unattended and remove your dried flowers as you go.
Cut off the excess wick and leave only 1 or 2 centimetres.
