This Jesmonite pack contains a 1L bottle of liquid Jesmonite AC and a 2.5 kg container of powder base.
What is Jesmonite? It is a non-toxic, solvent-free acrylic resin made from a mixture of gypsum (plaster of Paris) and a water-based acrylic component. Jesmonite is very lightweight yet durable. Easy to use, it’s the ideal material for creating molded decorative objects. It can replicate the appearance and texture of any surface.
As an eco-friendly alternative to resin, Jesmonite can be colored with pigments or colored chips to create a terrazzo effect. You can customize it however you like by mixing pigments or creating a marbled effect.
The final result can be sanded, sealed with a pore-filling varnish (food-safe), and finished with a satin varnish (water- and oil-repellent) for a glossy finish.
How to use Jesmonite?
1 - Shake the Jesmonite AC100 well, then mix the two components, preferably with an electric mixer. The ratio is 1 part liquid to 2.5 parts powder.
2 - Add the colorant(s) of your choice
3 - Pour into the mold
4 - Remove any air bubbles
5 - Let it air dry (between 20 and 30 minutes)
6 - Remove from the mold
